New Zealand is world-renowned for the excellent quality of its agricultural produce. The physical separation of New Zealand provides us with a unique advantage in quality assurance for our materials. SeaDragon's raw materials are sourced by sustainable managed fisheries from the South Pacific seas, fed by the Antarctic, surrounding New Zealand. The source guarantees low levels of environmental contaminants, such as PCB's and heavy metals. The majority of the raw material is frozen at sea in order to capture and maintain the quality.  In addition New Zealand is free from major agricultural diseases.

Quality and attention to detail is an essential part of our business and ensures successful relationships with our customers. Hygiene and quality are assured, and all materials are certified free of TSE’s (such as BSE) and Foot and Mouth Disease. All products are accompanied with appropriate certification. SeaDragon procedures are designed to ensure that the products meet strict microbiological standards to ensure suitability for human consumption. Every batch of product undergoes stringent quality assurance tests to ensure products meet exacting specifications, with a high degree of repeatability. Our processes provide good product clarity and colour. These product characteristics are of vital importance in the natural food industry.
